CMICRO pursues top quality in all manufacturing processes from planning and development to production and maintenance.
Based on the concept of a quality management system (QMS),
CMICRO Corporation is working on quality management with the participation of all employees across departments.
CMICRO Corporation implements a quality management system for all our business activities, our customers, and related partner companies, based on the following policy, and strives for continual improvement.
This quality policy will be made known to all our employees by posting it internally and to our customers and relevant subcontractors by posting it on our website.
Date: April 1st, 2017
1999: ISO 9001 certified (auditors: JMAQA)
2003: ISO 9001 upgraded to 2000 version (auditors: JMAQA)
2009: ISO 14001 certified (auditors: JMAQA)
In 1999, we obtained ISO 9001 certification (transferred to the 2015 edition in 2017). Under our comprehensive quality control system in accordance with international quality standards, we have pursued a design with safety margins to minimize damage in the event of accidental overstress or failure, not to mention the environment in which the product is used, such as temperature, humidity, and vibration. Furthermore, we aim to further improve "on-site quality" from the standpoint of the actual users, under a multifaceted quality control system that includes inspection of all products at the time of shipment and product history management, with a view to prompt maintenance.
Product quality starts at the design stage and CMICRO therefore takes into consideration the following points in design.
Electronic parts each have a limit beyond which they cannot operate without being damaged. We consider external stress factors, such as voltage, electric current and heat generation, and dissipation for every part at the design level and use parts with specifications that take into account derating in order to keep stresses to a minimum.
Accurate estimation of the stresses that will be incurred in the user’s environment ensures higher durability and lower breakdown rates. For this reason, CMICRO pursues high reliability through derating, which takes into account the users’ environment, including such aspects as temperature, humidity, noise, vibration, light resistance, and service life.
We handle conformity to standards in the countries where products are used including Japan Industrial Standard (JIS), Concurrent Engineering (CE)*, Voluntary Control Council for Interference by Information Technology (VCCI), and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) standards.
* Concurrent Engineering (CE) considers all aspects in a product’s life cycle including everything from cost, schedule and user demand concepts to disposal
Our design approach incorporates the System Security concept, minimizing risks in extraordinary circumstances such as breakdowns due to excessive accidental stress.
Of course, quality control is also necessary at the production stage. CMICRO implements the following measures to ensure high quality is maintained during production.
CMICRO test runs every product prior to shipping in order to completely eliminate defective products.
CMICRO conducts 24-hour aging tests on electronic devices using a temperature-controlled chamber to test temperature fluctuation. This ensures the durability of all products shipped.
To ensure that all our products comply with quality standards, CMICRO directly procures all materials used in manufacturing, including electronic parts.
